Join Us for the Back to School Festival on August 2nd!

Times are tough, and we all need a little extra support. That’s why we’re excited to announce our Back to School Festival, created to help the community members who need it most. It’s a wonderful chance to come together, offer a hand, and make sure our students start the year fully prepared. This year we’ve partnered with Holiness Church, a local Haitian congregation, to bring this event to Toronto’s Haitian community.

Time: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Location: Centennial Park (2250 Brock Rd, Pickering, ON L1V 2P8)

We've got something for everyone at the festival:

• ✏️Free School Supplies: We will provide supplies for 130 students on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is optional, but students must be present to receive supplies.

• 🎨Arts and Crafts: Let your creativity shine with fun activities for all ages.

• Haitian Food: Enjoy delicious cuisine that celebrates our rich cultural heritage.

How You Can Help

If you know a family who would benefit from this event, please encourage them to register through this link, or they can simply attend on August 2nd. We’re also looking for donors, sponsors, and volunteers to help make this event a success. Your support can make a big difference in our community!

Community Spirit

Our Back to School Festival is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of community spirit and togetherness. As the Haitian proverb says, “Men anpil chay pa lou” – many hands make light work. Let’s come together to support our students and ensure they have the resources they need to succeed.

Due to limited space, this will be an in-and-out service. Once supplies run out, the event will conclude. We appreciate your understanding as we strive to accommodate everyone efficiently.

What to Expect

• Free Entry & Family Fun: Bring the whole family! There’s no cost to attend, and we’ll have activities, music, and a place where kids can kick off the school year with smiles.

• Community Meal: Enjoy a delicious, home‑cooked menu prepared by Holiness Church and our friends at Supreme Delight:

  • Barbecue Chicken with Riz Collé

  • Turkey in Sauce with Riz Collé

  • Lalo with Riz Blanc

  • Légume with Riz Collé

  • Beverages: Pop, juice, water

  • Dessert: Ti Karol by Supreme Delight

• Free Lunch Provided: No need to pack a picnic—we’ve got you covered!
