The 2nd Annual Haitian Excellence Gala has officially wrapped, and what a magical evening it was. On May 31st, the final day of Haitian Heritage Month, our community gathered once again to shine a light on the beauty, brilliance, and boldness of Haitian excellence.
This year, we had the honour of celebrating 11 remarkable individuals whose contributions continue to uplift and inspire. Among them were doctors, lawyers, models, actresses, entrepreneurs, and authors, each one reminding us of the richness of our culture and what it truly means to be Haitian. These honorees are living proof that we can rise, lead, create, and transform, no matter the field or challenge.
The evening was filled with emotion, inspiration, and joy. Attendees were treated to powerful performances by the talented Kemdillo and Williane108, who brought energy and pride to the stage, and Sendy Fortilus, whose voice left the audience in awe. The night also featured a captivating spoken word performance by Fedana Toussaint and a heartfelt fashion show titled The Ancestors' Walk, where models wore and embodied ancestral attire.
We are incredibly grateful to our major sponsors La Cité College, Conseil Via Monde Scolaire, and Collège Mon Avenir for believing in our vision and helping us bring it to life. Your generous contributions allowed us to host an event worthy of the excellence we set out to celebrate.
To everyone who attended, cheered, clapped, danced, cried, and supported our honorees, thank you. Your presence reminded us why this work matters. This gala is more than an event; it is a space where culture is honoured, stories are told, and community is strengthened.
As we look toward the future, we are already excited for what is to come. The Haitian Excellence Gala is here to stay, and we can't wait to celebrate with you again next year.
Nap kontinye selebre nou. N'ap kontinye avanse ansanm.
