Get Ready for School: Free Backpacks, School Supplies & Family Fun

The new school year is just around the corner, and Haitians of Toronto is excited to welcome families to our annual Back to School Festival. This community event is dedicated to helping children start the school year prepared, confident, and ready to succeed.

While this event is organized to support the Haitian community, everyone is welcome to attend.

Free Backpacks & School Supplies

Thanks to our generous partners, hundreds of backpacks filled with school supplies will be available free of charge.

Register Early to Reserve Your Backpack

We strongly encourage families to register online before the event.

During registration, you will be able to select the backpack of your choice, helping us prepare your child's backpack in advance.

Walk-ins Welcome

If you attend without registering, you are still welcome to participate.

However, backpack distribution for walk-ins will be first come, first served. Once all backpacks have been distributed, they will no longer be available.

Families can also enjoy:

• 👕 Lightly used children's clothing

• 👟 Lightly used shoes

• 🎯 Fun games and activities for children

• 🤝 An opportunity to connect with members of the community before the school year begins

Important Information

• Registration is highly recommended.

• Children must be present to receive a backpack.

• One backpack per eligible child while supplies last.

• Walk-ins are welcome, but backpacks are not guaranteed.

• This event is intended to support the Haitian community, but everyone is welcome.
