Community Meet & Greet with Haiti’s National Soccer Team – A Day to Remember

On Sunday, March 29th, members of the Haitian community in Toronto gathered for an unforgettable Community Meet & Greet with Haiti’s National Soccer Team — a powerful moment of connection, culture, and celebration.

Approximately 300 community members registered and attended the event, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere from beginning to end. Attendees had the opportunity to spend time with the players, engaging in meaningful interactions that included jersey signings, photos, award presentations, and live performances.

The energy in the room was truly remarkable. Families, youth, and supporters came together to celebrate not only the team but also the strength and unity of the Haitian community. The engagement throughout the event was strong, and everything ran smoothly, making it a memorable experience for all who attended.

This successful event was made possible through the collaboration of a dedicated committee made up of approximately 18 organizations and business owners across the GTA. Haitians of Toronto was proud to be part of this collective effort, contributing alongside others who generously gave their time, resources, and financial support to bring this vision to life.

We were also honoured by the involvement of the Embassy of Haiti in Canada and the Haitian Consulate in Toronto, whose presence added significance and reinforced the importance of community partnerships.

Overall, the Community Meet & Greet was a great success. It highlighted what can be achieved when organizations and community leaders come together with a shared purpose. Events like this continue to strengthen connections within our community and create lasting memories for all involved.
